Chances are your pooch idolizes you. No better proof exists than these four behaviors. If your furry pal exhibits these actions they may think of you as their loving mom or dad.


  1. Shadowing you - Your four-footed friend loves to be around you. Constantly. They will shadow you wherever you go. It is as though they are looking after you by keeping an eye on you, when in fact they are looking after themselves by being by your side. This adorable behavior is like a puppy staying right by its mom and shows how very much they love you.


  1. They bring their toys to you - Sometimes a dog will bring their toys to strangers to play with. But only you will consistently get a toy brought to you because you are your dog’s favorite person. Sharing their toys shows that they want to include their best friend in playtime.


  1. You are the port in a storm - Your dog considers you their guardian if they seek you when they are scared or anxious. Just like a mom gives comfort to a child, a dog knows to come to their pet parent for solace. No matter if it is fear of a storm or being anxious from fireworks, your pooch knows it can be soothed by coming to you.


  1. Looking eye to eye - Your furry pal will show you how much they adore you with their dog's little melting gaze. That look of love they give you when looking straight into your eyes is proof positive they love you like a mom or dad. Love in the eye of the  beholder.


It’s a safe bet your dog is your best friend and loves you like you are their mom or dad. Even if they only show a few of these signs they are your greatest fan. Enjoy basking in the glow of their adoration.
