Have some free time and want to bond with your pup? Well settle on the couch under a cozy blanket and enjoy a movie together. Just gather some snacks for the both of you and get ready to watch some fun dog-themed movies!

Pets United

Release year: 2020

Where to watch: Netflix

Summary: First on our list is a computer-animated film that is humorous and a bit futuristic. Pets United is a movie about an unlikely duo (a street-smart dog and a pampered cat) joining forces. The main characters, Roger and Belle, must lead a group of friends and unlikely heroes to overcome a robot army takeover!


Dog Gone Trouble

Release year: 2019

Where to watch: Netflix

Summary: Second on our list is another computer-animated film full of feel-good fun and has an awesome voice cast. This movie is about a pampered dog named Trouble. After getting a glimpse of Trouble's cushy lifestyle, we soon find out about the passing of his beloved human. Trouble must learn to live in the real world while trying to escape from his former owner's greedy niece and nephew. See what friends Trouble makes along the way!


Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

Release year: 1993

Where to watch: Disney+

Summary: Our third movie on the list is one with lots of live-action footage for your dog. We promise you’ll both love this movie. The main characters are a Bulldog, a Golden Retriever, and a Himalayan cat. This family of pets undertakes a journey to find their owners after they suspect they got left behind. Watch as this trio sets out on their scenic journey in finding their family. This is one of the best dog movies of all time, in our humble opinion.


Beethoven

Release year: 1992

Where to watch: Netflix

Summary: The last movie on our list is a comedic tale about a rambunctious St. Bernard named Beethoven. Escaping from being stolen, Beethoven finds refuge in the home of the Newton family. They decide to adopt him despite the dad’s reservations but who would say no to such a big fluff ball like Beethoven? You’ll soon find out that the Newtons would do anything for him and in return, Beethoven would do anything for his family. This movie has a great story with lots of laughs along the way.
